quick question....................i might already know answer!

i have a v551 with a bt hs 801. and when connected to bt the ringer is a standrd ring.
(it's wack)

is their and bt phone combos that allow u to still hear and use your mp3 or poly ringers?

someone please hook me up.

Not with Moto's. It's the standard whack ringtone when the V551 and V3 are connected to their BT headset.

ARE THEIR ANY PHONE AND BT HEADSET COMBOS THAT LET YOU HEAR YOUR POLY AND MP3 RINGERS?

Nokia's and SE's do. Moto phones, or at least the V551/V3 do not. Not sure about the others.

Yes you have to get the handsets. Has nothing to do with the ear piece.

I think Icy misunderstood the question.

You do have to puchase (obviously) the Nokia HAND set (ie, phone), but it should work fine with any HEAD set (ie, the actual BT piece that sits on your ear; after all, this is just an audio device (I have seen people use this as their computer speakers...though I would think the sound quality would be terrible...maybe not so much compared to those stupid little ear buds but I digress...)

The operating difference is whether the PHONE will transmit the ringer/mp3/whatever through the BT link, and apparently the Moto's won't, but the Nokia can.
