Favorite Provider aside from Cingular
They have more business customers than anyone else.
They make cash off of regional providers borrowing off of their towers. Qwest comes to mind, as well as ESPN Mobile.
They have exclusive rights to the NFL broadcasts.
Time Warner, Cox, and Comcast are all checking out doing the Qwest thing and borrowing towers with Sprint.
They also have WiMAX coming out soon
They also have decent coverage
tTey sell the phones with the highest customer satisfaction (Sanyo's)
They offer Fair & Flexable.

Verizon, because they have the best network
not really... i would say that their analog network is sub par to our tdma network. but our gsm/edge network is better than their cdma/rx1 network in the south and out west. their cdma/evdo is better than our tdma/analog up north....... network - schmetwork Cingular has 7 networks up and running and Verizon has 4 from what I know... so.................................. it's all relative to where you are and what phone you are using...
They have it right, It is the network. Now as I have said numerous times, strength of network is regional (overall Verizon is lacking here in Texas) but where they are strong they dominate. Since I am from So Cal I used Airtouch for many, many years.
Sprint has too many network holes and couple that with an extra $15 billion in debt they will have after buying up all the affiliates (my projection of costs) they will not have much to expand for a while. Yes they are profitable but the pockets are not as deep as SBC and Verizon.
When I switched to Cingular, I found out how full of crap they are.
I will say that Verizon has a great network, but I have since found out that the difference between Verizon's dropped calls and Cingular's dropped calls is less than a percentage point. 😳
And with Cingular's 3G network coming, Verizon will never be able to claim network superiority again.
To answer the question, I'd say I like Sprint right now. They have awesome prospects and I'd say that the real competition for the next few years will be between Cingular and Sprint. Plus Sprint offers the same technology without all the jerks as employees.
