Nokia 6102 & Push To Talk
However, when I log out and check the phones status outside of there, I do not see the feature posted! Is this a typo or does the Nokia 6102 work on the cingular PTT network?
When is PTT supposed to launch? And is the pricing going to be around 19.99 for family talk plans (2 phones)?
Here is a copy I found of the PTT coverage area:

I believe the reason Cingular doesn't list it as a feature anymore is because it was originaly supposed to be released simultaneously with PTT, however the PTT launch was pushed back again(i'm hearing mid Nov now).
Why wait to launch the phone? I mean the die hard Nokia enthusiasts have been waiting for a flip for a long time.

PTT is carrier based Our ptt is coming nov 14 or 15 the 6102 is PTT ready and cingular will offer it when we launch the ptt feature
If I am not mistaken, the 6102 is PTT ready for PTT over GPRS. It will require a software update to work on Cingular's PTT solution.

you are not mistaken. they should stop listing that as an option so people don't get confused. The PTT the phone supports is "over GPRS". our PTT is Kodiak.

it refers to configuring the phone with the PTT over GPRS settings. that tells me it's not Kodiak.
the only phones that will have PTT at launch are the LG F7200 and the Samsung D357.
Existing phones will not be compatible with the PTT service at this time. if it DOES become something you can add on it will have to be either a Java application or a Symbian program.
