Verizon Wireless is on track to post another record quarter of net additions driven by back-to-school and family-plan additions, according to a report from Merrill Lynch. Based on more than 80 store visits in five markets, the firm said it raised its third-quarter net customer addition guidance for Verizon Wireless from 1.8 million subscribers to 1.95 million subscribers, and at the same time, lowered its churn estimates from 1.3 percent to1.2 percent.
"Verizon Wireless continues to deliver a strong and consistent quality message," noted Merrill Lynch telecommunications analyst David Janazzo. "Verizon Wireless stores stress that the carrier invests more in its network than any of its competitors."

I've told you time and time again, I have nothing against Verizon (because they're a great company). Seeing as they're the only ones that are continuing to stomp on everybody else, I have no reason to cry, laugh, or display any type of emotion over a wireless company. Sometimes I think it's sad how much trash you'll talk for Verizon. Get over it, it's just a company.

I'm tired of poor phone offerings and crippling those that they do offer. I'm converting my wife's Cingular plan to familytalk. With the rollover account as a buffer for heavy usage, service for both of us will be cheaper than myself alone on Verizon. That, and I get an Audoivox SMT5600, which kicks the crap out of any phone Verizon offers. Quote your stats all you want.

That's two of us. I ported out my VZW to T-Mobile in August (for international txt reasons -otherwise I would had brought it to Cingy as well-)

I hope you don't plan on using that SMT5600 for data on Cingular. Because you will pay out the a$$ for data usages with Cingular. Much more expensive than VZW. Trust me, I have both services (Cingular for Voice and VZW for data).

But the last part of you post is a pretty good analogy, each carrier has it plus and minuses, just too friggin bad you have to carry 2 phone, plus service (which means another Monthly service charge) just to get the desired set of services, at the price you want to pay.

No, that is strictly mobile web (which you can check hotmail, yahoo, or aol mail on). Text messaging is additional, as it is with Cingular.

See, with as much as I check my email, and sports scores, and other stuff....5MB would NEVER be enough data for me. That is why I use my Verizon phone for data and my Cingular one for voice (most of the time).

the email would suck up the most as far as bandwidth. Sports scores and other text based browsing doesn't hit you for much. If you checked the weather and sports or stocks 3 times a day it would probably still run less than 10k. That's about 300k for a month, so there's a lot of room to play. Of course, it's nice to have an unlimited feature so there are just no worries.

i uded to have Cingular( well attws) and iwent thru 5mb pretty damn fast! no way i could just use limited, i would have to the unlimted plan with cingular if i ever went back.
