On our map it shows the whole island being covered, but you may want to check cingular.com for a local coverage area map

I am customer service tech support for that area, and I've had no complaints of coverage area there. 🙂

The reason why I am asking, is because "Consumer Reports" didn't even have(Cingular) a rating for the New York area in it's Febuary 2004 issue.
I would like to hear from people who use this area carrier on a everyday basis. On Long island in both counties.
