HSDPA...Where is it?

With Verizon rolling out EV-DO nation wide at an alarming rate and coupled with their new reduction in price on their unlimited access plan, it only makes me wonder what is Cingular planning?
Already behind in the highspeed race with Verizon and terribly overpriced, Cingular stands to lose a lot of the potential revenue in this virtually untapped emerging market. With Wi-max beginning its testing and eventual rollout there is even more competion waiting on the herizon, in addition to the already nation wide sporadic Wi-Fi coverage.

Anyway is there anyone out there that knows any news on the rollout or Cingular's plan? The last major article I saw on the subject was in May, claiming that Cingular would have 20 markets up and running...

Cingular is still focusing on the merger and network integration. I'll try to give an update tomorrow. I'm curious now that you bring this up. I haven't checked on this in a few....

yea, recently looking around on csp, i found plans to begin expansion anew after the oct tower integration is finished (all towers will either be integrated, or decommissioned).

So look for some heavy expansion later this year and most of next year for hsdpa...
