TEXT MESSAGE

Does the "system" store the actual text message that is sent or just the number/email address that it was sent to? I have a friend who works for Cingular/blue that claims he can read all of the text messages that I send or receive from anytime I have sent or received them. Is he full of BS or is there any truth to this? I would appreciate an honest answer. I am not looking to get him trouble... just want to call him on it if it is BS. Thanks 🙄

Depends on if he has high enough access but YES, most carriers store the actual text message.

This was brought to the forefront in the Kobe Bryant trial. Attempts were made to subpoena the alleged victim's text activity following the incident.

Considering he could get fired and personally sued for accessing private information about your account (and others, hence the subpoena) he is pretty stupid for flaunting the fact.
