I finally figured out how we can boost our CS in call centers

Everyone rep should take a Paxil before they log in everyshift. I think this may help all the negative attitudes towards customers, help deal with the undealable customers and put a nice glow on the work day.

I've been lobbying to have them install 2mg Valium dispensers in every room but so far it's no dice... 😛

i think a drink station would work wonders....

i would love to tell my customers that i need to go check with the "captian" before i can answer that..

then saunter over to the drink station.. et myself a good stiff rum and coke..

the go back to the customer and tell them no for anything they are asking..

I agree I would love some rum and coke during calls. Or how about some orange juice in the morning with some vodka.

Well just a playstation in the break room would be good with Madden 05 or either Live 05.

that would be cool with online access so you can play live against other reps in other call centers.

Madden would be ok, but how about an Xbox with Halo 2 ? The indiscriminate violence support by Xbox live would reduce tension, increase moral, and promote a less hostile workplace 😁

I wonder how many of you CSRs during the job interview(s) told the inteviewer(s) many times you were sure you would have no problem dealing with irate customers and that you know via common sense that IS the job and you could handle it.

HOw many were excited when you found out YOU were actually hired. Some of you may have bought that new car finally. Only now to realize you indeed cannot handle the job and are miserable and stuck and now want the unhappy customers to make the job easy.......

Amazing turn of events huh? 🙄

I was very happy when I was hired. I am very good at my job and I have fun at it most of the time. I am not stuck in my job I do not see it that way. I choose to do this job nobody forced me to do this job. So I a no where near stuck.

I was missinformed when I was in the interview. They didn't tell me at all that I would be dealing with irate customers. All they said was I would be dealing with customers technical phone problems, a few billing questions and rate plan options. Common sense was not with me that day, it was on vacation. Plus I would not assume that Americans can be this mean. I dealt with bullies when I was younger, but Americans, damn.

I was kinda excited another job hired me and I was financially fine, have been until I lent a friend $600.00 so he could afford rent. Bought a $6,000 car and paid it off in 3 years. I have 2 student loans (still paying for).

I only stay at this job because I have yet to be hired at the other jobs I have applied too that...

No sh!t, they never even let on that we would have to put up with the bull we put up with every day. Misinformation, ironic! I never thought Americans would be this unreasonable or ignorant either, I thought they would be regular people not blood sucking vampires with no heart.

Not I.
People here sometimes wonder why I'm so calm on the phone.
Well, it's not just the way I am, that's for sure.

I don't smoke, but i'd but up for legalizing marijuana at the entrance, so we can get smoked out on the way in the door. That would keep us calm when dealing with customers, plus enhance our spectrum of thinking when troubleshooting issues.

Like I said, I don't smoke, but something to consider...
