I'm tired of seeing threads after threads how Cingular employees dislike customers who're bossy.

Sure, not everyone is plesant, but coming to the forum and complain isn't showing too much class showing by you either. I'm a customer myself, and many other check this forum is also, when we see you post stuff of how customers are bad and stupid, how you think we feel?

When I've a problem with the service, I NEVER put the blame on the employees, if you hated working for Cingular because so many customers are bossy towards you, you're not obligated to work in the cellphone business, and you know, in any kind of sale business, you'll find bossy customers.

With that rant out of the way, can anyone please answer my real problem of why my mi...

Yes. When I called, the operator said it's a problem to many and might be because of the area, however my roomate from college who went to HS with me live in the same city, about 10 miles apart furthest and didn't affect him.

it could be due to the fact that the market is being divested. We are getting a lot of feed back in my centre regarding billing issues out of North and South Carolina. Tower's are being rebranded, SOC codes are changing and it is making a great big head ache for the guys in billing. Are you former AWS or Current CW customer?

I only rant because it makes me feel better, I get over it and if you ask me, I forget half the crap I say anyways.

Seriously though, I sat here listening to a supervisor repeat 7 TIMES, I am a supervisor, 5 TIMES these charges are legit, 5 TIMES you were advised of your home calling area, 6 TIMES we have a note that states otherwise.

If someone says something once, what the hell makes you think the answer will be changed the next time you ask? Come on people if we say something, believe us.

There are jobs where you put your life on the line everyday, so if you want to vent, vent to those people who put their life on the line everyday, like firefighters, police officer, military personel. And you'll see how easy and flexible your so called terrible jobs are, like I said earlier, if it's that bad? why continues to work there?

Who the hell yells and threaten cops??? Sure there are some thugs who do but at least cops can do something about it!

Plus cops can defend themselves if the threat is legit.

You don't seem to understand. THERE IS NO REASON FOR AN EMPLOYEE TO BE VERBALY ABUSED AND THREATENED BY CUSTOMERS!!

FAR TO MANY CUSTOMERS SEEM TO OF FORGOTTEN (Or never knew) THAT IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN POLITE SOICITY TO ACT IN THE MANNER THEY DO!!!

Cops, Firefighters and soldiers all know the risks they take and the dangers of the job.

Sure it can be said that reps know they are going to take abuse and sh!t but that doesn't make it ok for many customers to act in the manner they do. We are human beings. If venting on a public forum helps us cop...

Did you ever think:

a customer who has had dropped calls, billing issues only to be passed around like a football from CSR to CSR most of whom hate their jobs apparently.

A customer who was with one company now is forced to sign at higher prices with another.

A customer who is nickel dimed incessently,

A customer who goes in to a Cingular store for help or information and is met with disdain because there will be no commision made on that customer.

A customer who does not understand there is no such thing as a free anything although the words FREE are always highlited in Carrier ads.

A customer who signs a contract that ultimatly does NOT guarentee any service at all.

I could go on...but don't you think those customer...

You ever hear "you catch more flies with honey..." I'm sure you have. Even if we made a mistake, there is NO reason for the abuse some customers have been spewing at us. NONE. I don't care what excuse you come up with, each rep is a new one, and is not the previous person you spoke to so don't take it out on him or her and (s)he will more than likely not take it out on you.

P.S. This forum is just that, a forum and we have a right to vent if we want to. you can tell us not to, but we can choose not to obey.

I think your missing our point. WE LOVE our customer's not one of the the representatives that post on this forum has ever stated that they have not provided service, or fixed a problem because of the way a customer behaves on the phone. Perhaps there is a great deal of work to be done to assist customer's. At the same token, a fraction of customer's do a a misconception that we can give away the farm just to please them. I'll be completely honest with you. I enjoy my job, I take the really P***ed customer's all the "escalated calls" not once have I ever failed to do everything in my power to help a customer. Customer's do have to be willing though to take responsibility for their own actions. I truly empathise with customer's who got...

I have no problem helping customers that are upset or angry. That is part of the job and the reasons you mentioned are certainly good reasons for customer to be upset.

But there is a difference in being upset and expressing your anger in a resonable fashion and going balistic on a rep that just happened to answer the phone.

I've had customer yell, scream, insult and demean me, swear at me and threatened to track me down and F me up. A couple went so far to threaten my life! For what? A FREAKIN CELL PHONE?? Most of the calls like this are not because of service its because I won't give credit for legit charges. Some are contract related and service related for sure but most is Credits.

Don't get me wrong. I don't get calls l...

I knew I forgot something.

We don't need the balistic customers to keep our jobs. We get enough bill payments, rate plan changes, tech support, upgrades, general info calls to keep us employed.

Cingular doesn't need those customers to stay in business. IMO Cingular would benifit from sending those customers to Verizon 😈 😈 😈
Who knows... maybe those customers would benifit as well 🤣 🤣

Sometimes customers need to be fired just like they fire companies. I do not work for cingular but a competitor and some customers do need to get fired because they are more work than cost than what they pay monthly so they need to be just released.

The thing with those jobs is they sometimes power trip and take it out on the criminals, or have speed bags and boxing rings etc we tend to vent get over it and smile with our next customer or at least i do. I agree this is not the appropriate site to do so but we have no where else to go

I did have a point for copying that but i got a call and screwed it up.

Oh, and be sure not to be too bossy or rude, or you might not get the best service.
Bottom line is .... on these forums, if you want advice from these guys, don't chew them out and call them whiners while you are doing it. The only place you are allowed to do that is Customer Care.

You are allowed to do it with customer care, but honestly, your not going to get anywhere. The more crappy you treat us, the less apt we are to help. We understand anger and frustration, but there is a difference in being angry and speaking to us in a demeaning, rude or even cruel way.

Actually, Howard Forums is not a good place to go, I have seen more mis-information on that site then I have come out of certain people on here. If you dont want to trust us there is a site you can go to that you have to be employed by Cingular, and have special permissions to give advice on it. Its called go to Cingular.com they have customer assistance forums there.

Howard Forums is not perfect by any means. BUT it is alot more informative then Phonescoop. There is a depth of information there that you only see on occasion here. Seems this forum is more about whining and "venting"...There is more technical and useable information there if only because of the larger user base.

This forum is more like a small lounge for disgruntled reps. Especially the Cingular forum. But with all the transition issues I suppose there will be more bitching.

Cingular has had an opportunity to own the buiness and is squandering it away. The company is only as good as its public face.

You can't expect a "public face" from a forum that could be reg people posing as a rep. And we have just as many customers who come in here doing the same things. Im not saying we are perfect but wouldnt you rather it be done in here than on the phones. And my opinion on Howard forums still stands, if you want advice from "legit" reps, go to the Cingular.com forums.

You make a good point about the front lines being the backbone of any company. And anyone in here who tells you the cingular customer care is reading from a script is not telling the truth. Cingular is aware of problem reps and are removing faster than ever.

You're retarded.

Who goes to McDonalds and tell how their employee should behave?

But face it, if people like you who works at McDonalds, Cingulars, or any other places that see customers frequently and talk trash about them, you think your boss is proud of that?

You're not only embarassing yourself, as well as the company you're representing.
