Check Your Minute Feature?

I've to say Cingular's feature on this is very very terrible.

I've head Cingular since last October, and everytime I try to check my minutes, it's always as least 2-3 days late, I didn't really care about that because it was that much big of deal. By calling the customer service or check my minute on the phone would only give me the same stats, so nothing helps really.

This month, the last call I see being recorded is made on 6/11, which is 2 weeks ago, and I've use the phone everyday since, so I don't really know what to say. My month ends on the 26th, so I've a feeling Cingular don't keep up the stats so the customers can over use the minutes and end up paying for the additional minutes they've used.

Anyone else using Cingular is ...

No Carrier is up to date with your usage. the best toll I give customers is when you use it a lot one day don't use it a lot the next.

That's what I do, I simply tell myself how many minutes I've on my plan and I subtract it by 22 days so I know how many minutes I should use per day.

I understand no carrier is up to date with the usuage, but they're not outdated by 2 weeks either. It's just pretty ridiculous to be like that, and have customer feel they're doing it on purpose so they can get the customer to go over the limit.

You may have been off the network at the time, possibly out of the foot print? (Just guessing) Some roaming partners can take up to 60 days to report you usage (rarely but it does happen)

I know that they offer the service, and if they continue to do this, they may as well make it accurate. But that aside, the devil's advocate sez "Hey are you paying for it? Didn't think so..."

Can't expect too much from a courtesy. What's the idiom? Something about a horse and his mouth....?

Am I paying for it? Yes, didn't they say those feature are "included" in the plan? So if it's "included" in the plan, I expect it to work, I don't need no ****y employees to come here who while everyday on the forum tell me how bad customers are that how the phone works.

No you don't pay for it. Its a free service that we provide to our customers. You pay for your phone service.

How do you think it's paid for then? Do you think the CEO of Cingular reaches into his pocket every month to pay the bills on the computers that tally up the numbers? The customer pays for everything. If they're a customer of Cingular, they're paying for it. You can maybe use that excuse on something where the government was handing out free phones, and the guy is complaining about it. Or if Cingular started smoking crack and gave everyone a phone good for 10 minutes/month. They're not paying for it then. But in this instence, he is paying.

If Cingular took the *services away you would not have any grounds to cancel service because it is NOT service impacting. It is a perk that Cingular offers and they can take it away at any time.

OK,

And if your area we have roaming partners who also provide portions of your coverage (depending on where in NC). When you use their network the minutes are not immediately reflected in your *min# feature.

I use it rarely, but when I do, my minutes are usually an hour or two behind. You must be using someone else's towers. Those sometimes take a while to go onto your bill.

You know, that would be a good reason to have Rollover minutes. Say you have a 400 min. plan. You use 300 minutes in that month, 100 of which aren't included in that bill, but will be in the next. You now have 200 in RO minutes. The next month, you use 350 min, but since T-Mobile took their sweet time to report your minutes, your bill says you used 450. It's ok now, since you have 200 in RO.
