New NOkia Flips with No Bluetooth
Why are all the new nokia flip phones that we are suppose to get not coming with bluetooth? Seems in the past 3 months, that is one of the hottest features on a phone. I am an avid nokia person, and i have 6230 currently, but all the new flips for cingular (6101,6170) and some other models are not pushing bluetooth with them.. why would they not push it? i know some of the phones are low end to meet the needs of those customers like the x427 and c1300 are because they want cheap and flip.

i have not seen bluetooth spec on any of the new flips that are supposed to be out for Cingular.

do you know where i can find a list of phones cingular will be getting? I need to get rid of mine ASAP and i dont like any of the phones they have now.

I really don't. Nothing is set in stone until it is actually out, so even if you find something that you like, it may take forever to be put out, or not come out at all.

we were told by our reps that 6101 is for sure.... and 6170 is for sure as well........

Nokia is very picky when it comes to the American market. They do not release anything until the phone meets their own enternal (very high) standards... Until recently, Nokia did not even allow carriers to customize menus on handsets like other manufactures do. If you also notice, Nokia put off putting out a clam for quite a while. If a Nokia is going to be released, you can bet it will be a reliable phone. Look at Moto and how they keep releasing feature rich phones, but every release has issues, not to common with Nokia. Now that Nokia is entering the market with some clamshell designs, watch for them to get their market back, think 1999-2002 when they fully dominated... Also, they have an agreement to supply Cingular with candy bar style ...
