Unlocking a phone

Jul 15, 2011, 4:25 PM
I have an iPhone 3GS on AT&T. I go to Europe every summer for a month to spend time with relatives. I have a prepaid Vodafone account there just for calls and texts. I was wondering what I would need to do in order to unlock my iPhone. I want to pop my Vodafone sim card in it. Is this even possible? Thanks in advance for all your help.

Official AT&T:

Unofficial: Jailbreak it. Then it's unlocked. I think.

that's the only way, plus you gotta hope their sim works in it
