Looking to switch carriers

CingularBentMeOverToo

So I'm on my second Motorola V400 in less than a year. Cingular won't give me a credit toward a different model. They aren't concerned that I'm threatening to switch carriers. They've given me terrible customer service after more than a 10 year relationship. Can anyone recommend a different carrier? I'm looking at Verizon, Sprint or T-Mobile ... Any suggestions?

threatening to switch carriers doesn't work anymore...too many people have screwed over company, so they're being very authoritarian with their policies... before you switch, i suggest you read the post titled "taken from VZW thread very informative"...

you're one of THOSE customers who expect everything for free just because you didn't get what you wanted...lighten up...how would you like it if I came to YOUR place of business and demanded that you give me everything for free...you probably wouldn't like that because it would cut into your profits and leave you with marginal increase...

go ahead, leave...those other carriers will be glad to bend you over too...its the telecommunications business, it happens to everyone at every carrie...

If the phone is under a year, contact Motorola, Cingular Exchange by Mail or file an insurance replacement if you have insurance.

If the phone has any type of physical or liquid damage, the first two options are null and void.

My suggestion is not to go with Sprint- they are terrible in pretty much every way. MOst carriers have good qualities, not so with Sprint. Stay away!

Why are you on your second V400? I'm on my second one, and this one is a lot better than the 1st one I had. It must've been a defective one or something. And I can't believe they're giving you terrible customer service after 10 years. I've been with them since 2000 (like it really matters) and 99% of the time when I call they've been excellent. Every now and then, you get some jerk who's either had a bad day or just a bad employee, or sometimes they'll give me info that I know isn't inline with either what Cingular would do or what I've read about, so I hang up and call back. If it's the same info, probably correct, if it's not, I let them know that the last person I talked to either is an idiot or hasn't been trained right.

Stick...
