WHAT ANDROID PHONE FROM ATT WOULD YOU GET????

WHATEVERWORKS

I am on my phone all the time, internet, text, calls, emails, pictures...and want an android phone. At&T Doesnt exactly seem to be the athority on android coming from verizon. But Verizon service in my area sucks! So, I am trying to get a phone that pulls a really strong signal, and is quick, I HATE lag, and atleast has android 2.1.

I was looking at the iphone, but one of my co workers has the 3gs and one has a iphone 4 and they don't get reception (maybe 1bar or searching for service) where I work, but my other coworkers FREE nokia gets 5 bars all the time..... Does the iphone not have a strong radio.

I love andrioid....opinions???

Thanks!!!! 😉 😉 😉

This is the only Android phone that AT&T offers that isn't a joke.

The Galaxy S phones have some significant lag built into them for some reason. A buddy of mine rooted his T-mobile Galaxy S, and now it works like a dream.

I personally don't care enough to hack the firmware on my Galaxy S, but since you mentioned you hate lag, you should go into this thing knowing that you will probably want to root the thing right away.

Or you could dig up a Nexus One. Or you could wait until Black Friday and see if something new comes around next weekend.

If you want Android on ATT get an ATT band N1. It has a 1Ghz processor and it is a better signal hound than the iPhone.
Although as I type this on my iPhone 4, I've used plenty of Android devices both on ATT & VZW but I've stuck with the iPhone 4 the longest. And as a friend who was using a Mytouch recently moved to an iPhone after using mine said, the iPhone is just tight!
As for a poor radio, there's a differance between low bars and actually having no signal.

It's your best bet for a high end android phone that fits what you need. As a bonus, you'll be one of the first phones with Gingerbread.

Current AT&T Android Smartphone options are:
HTC Aria (OS 2.1)
Motorola Backflip (1.5)
Motorola Bravo (2.1)
Motorola Flipout (2.1)
Motorola Flipside (2.1)
Samsung Captivate (2.1)
Sony Ericsson Xperia (1.6)

Of those, the Captivate & Aria seem best.

I concur. The Captivate and Aria are the 2 best android phones that ATT caries.

Motorola has NEVER made a good smartphone that ATT has bought. In fact, the last decent phone of any variety that ATT got from Motorola was the RAZR.

Oh no no no... Coming From someone that works for AT&T on the Retailer side the Aria is the biggest joke, go to a store with live phones and make a call to someone with the volume all the way up and you will see the biggest downfall of that device, and it is very slow, and with the captivate it is a great device but very fragile, but still a GREAT device, and the flipside is what i am posting this with now and it is great android with a keyboard and the fastest 3G network you cant beat it...except the moto blur ☚ī¸
