maybe not....I'm thanking whichever of them removed the post with a customer's personal info in it. That was highly uncalled for.

I know you think what you did was so great but what you should have done since you work for Cingular was tell them that you just saw someones account posted on line and them maybe they would try to stop this. I mean I am not trying to be a as hole if I was I would have put the other six customers account info on here. Like I said we get them all the time and Cingular just dont seem to care but I bet the customers would!

Why don't you ask one of the reps on here if they will privately message you, then you can give them the info and see if they can help you. There are a lot of care reps for cingular that do care, and would probably be happy to help you out.

Just don't post people's info on this. You wouldn't like it, why would they?

I understand what your saying but when I call in and tell a rep any rep Cingular just emailed me someone elses account info, they should take this serious, and I should not have to try and take care of this myself.
I do not know how to talk to someone one here in private. does this forum have like an instant message or something?

If you click on the person name on the message it gives you a list of things to do. Click on "contact" the follow the stpes.

I would ask some care rep if they would email you first. Then you are not trying to contact someone who doesn't want to be contacted.

It shouldn't be your problem, but obviously you care about this, and have some ethics. I'm sure posting their info was a mistake.

If you want to make it right ask them if they are willing to help. Don't yell back at the people who don't want to help. That will only make it worse. I know, I work in the wireless industry, hust not Cingulars.

If you don't get any help, and you want to make it right, contact the BBB, or FCC. You will be beard then.

Your welcome. Just remember in the future how would you feel if someone posted your info, and how would you fell if you were at work and someone accused you of something you have no clue about, and/or didn't do. You would probably respond the same way these people did on this forum.

Good luck. 😕

Ok - I understand that what he did probably wasn't the best idea, HOWEVER, the intent was not malicious. Why is it that so many in here have to put in their "kudos to the moderator" postings or their "How would you feel if..." postings???

The poor guy meant no harm, and he now sees & understands the potential negative ramifications of postings like the one in question. Case closed.

It seems that everyone is lining-up to whip this guy for it. Well, I turn the "how would you feel if" question back on all of you: How would you feel if you made a mistake and a bunch of people felt the need to each say pretty much the same thing to you over and over, browbeating you over it, even though you admitted your fault & apologized for it?

Um... the thing is he made a BIG mistake here. We were not bashing him, you should go back and read again. We tried to help him, and he came back with negative comments. If I had made a mistake like that, I would notice the harm and report myself to the moderator, and probably wouldn't lash out on thers trying to help.

Obviously over the past few days off I have missed something. If you need the help of a care rep, send me an email explaining what I missed and what happened. I'll do what I can to get the info to the right people. Starting with my manager and area manager.

OH this was just today Shay. Hello again by the way. He (stephen) jsut posted an e-mail his girlfriend recieved from Cingy that was not related to her at all. The e-mail had the account number on it, so it was kind of a big deal.

You can get the point accross without doing what you did. Posting someone's information in a public place has the potential to cause more harm than help.

I'm sure you would agree, were it your information.

Funny how so many are up in the air about this now but nobody seem to think it was a big deal when I called in about it. 🙄

That is only making it worse. You are assuming you talked to these people when you probably didn't. No one will want to help you with this serious problem when you write that stuff. ☚ī¸

Just like in every industry, there are good people and bad people. Those of us on here who care and come here to help, will try to do something to help. Just don't attack us (im not sure if you did but from reading this post thats the idea that I get) We do care here or we wouldn't be here. You probably just got a bad rep ☚ī¸

What about this are you not getting here???? We have offered you help, but it seems like all you want to do is grip about it. Maybe that is why you didn't get anywhere on the phone. Either take it, or shut up about it.

Did you see my message before the thread was deleted? Does the e-bill have the mobile number of the person? Can you call them and let them know?

Look, here's the deal. I don't work directly for Cingular so there's nothing I, personally, CAN do about it. I'm an agent, and even if I did have the proper tools to work it out, it's outside my market and I can't access the account.

I'm not proud of myself or anything. The bottom line is that good intentions aside posting a person's info without their consent in a public forum is illegal. Based on both the T&C of this site and the law. I understand that you weren't trying to cause trouble and I'm not bashing you for wanting to help, but frankly it's a blatant disregard for that person's privacy as well as the rules here.

Yes, there is an error that needs to be fixed on Cingular's part, if the rep that you speak to doesn't seem to...
