Unlocked 1900MHz Phone in Boston Market??

Hi,

I was thinking of buying an unlocked Motorola a630 off ebay and using it on the Cingular network out in Boston. Currently the phone runs on the 1900 Mhz frequency and I was wondering if you guys could tell me if Cingular has good coverage with this frequency in Boston. Also, will I be able to roam onto the T-mobile 1900 network??

Thanks for you help,

🙂

fyi, 1.9ghz inside boston isnt that great in general becuase there are a lot of buildings in boston, and 1.9ghz cant penetrate as well. i suggest going to 850 or 800mhz. maybe verizon, or nextel.

I dont know about coverage on 1900 band but if its bad and all else fails you can go on hofo and they got some seem edits to unlock 800/850 band and u can then use a630.
