I really don't like using MY money for something and it be controlled by ATT!!!!! And after seeing how much they are fckg with the Backflip I want an Android smartphone that is UNTOUCHED by ATT. So I'm thinking about going on ebay and using MY $ to buy an Android smartphone that is UNTOUCED by ATT.

So does anybody know if mms & inernet will work with the Motorola Milestone on ATT?

it should work fine.. not sure about 3g (I don't know what bands Telus uses) but it should act much like your unlocked Nokia did.

I looked on ebay, and well it's closer to $600 than it is to $500, another words it's a !!LOT!!

Just when it comes to my phone, I'm not very patient. May and June are still a long, long way away. And ATT fks with phones too much!! I hope they come out with a "With Google" phone that doesn't have any ATT bloatware on it!!

if the phone has "with google" it won't have bloatware.

I love it how the ATT press rep said Google didn't have a search widget... the guy obviously never touched an android phone before.

The Hero, the Eris, the Moto Droid, the Nexus One, are all "with google" devices. I'm sure there are others, but those are the big ones.

With Tmobile and Verizon, what they did is made a seperate tab in the Android market with their carrier branding that would have their recommended apps.

I checked out the devour.. the only thing I saw on there was Vcast Videos (which kinda needs to be put on since it's not an actual android app, but one built just for that phone)

With the exception of the Verizon logo on the hardware, and a visual voicemail stub in the applications menu, there is no "bloatware" on my device. There are a ton of Verizon apps, but they are all in the market place. Verizon learns from their mistakes.. it seems like...

But other than us "phone geeks" do you think the mainstream public cares that much about bloatware?

Even though we're only in the 3rd month of 2010 I think the Motorola Backflip gets the "worst smartphone of 2010 on ATT" award.

more people care about it than just phone geeks, especially the fact that Att replaced all the searching with Yahoo on a google phone.

i was upset about yahoo being placed on there. however i just deleted the widget and made google my homepage on the browser. gives me the same effect.

i like the backflip. its not a terrible phone. i would like the bloatware off, i honestly hate that.

but for a non phone geek it will do the job just fine. i would just like something snappier, like a HTC desire or an N1. we'll see which one of those come out first and i'll use that.

With a google phone, you can voice search. With yahoo as the default search, you won't be able to do this, and also it's not location aware like Google's worked in Search client.
