TMobile uses 1900MHz and the question was if TMobile is now using 800MHz as well.

I don't know but you could check their website for further assistance.

Considering how many 800mhz phones they *dont* offer, I'd say they're not.

And why would Cingular let them? That's one big advantage Cingular has over T-Mobile, it'd be stupid to allow them to. Ya know, they're trying to compete, not go hand in hand. 😉

probobly because the manufacturers are making them that way. i know for fact that some of the phones they carry that use 850 are only carried by them because the reception on 850 is so poor that Cingular wouldn't certify it.

I still highly doubt Cingular would allow T-Mobile to roam on their 800/850 mhz band. It would give T-Mobile about the same coverage area as Cingular, and why would they want that?

As far as the 900 mhz frequency goes, that's not even used in the United States, it's only for overseas.

There are areas where TMobile customers with 850Mhz capable phones can get "pocket roaming." Since we don't actually support the frequency we don't guarantee it or advertise that the possibility exists, but since TMo and Cingular have roaming agreements it's possible that with the right phone someone might roam on Cingular network in the 850Mhz band.
