...not a big deal since they have been dropping my damn phone calls in San Diego for years. 3G service on my iphone is a joke. They should give me $15.00 back for using Edge service instead of that spotty and unreliable service. Too go further, my wife and I get a flyer in the mail at the start of December to purchase an at&t device that will improve my cellphone service. Why in the hell would I want to pay extra for a device. I pay enough already for what is supposed to be advertised when I started my service. They promised me five bars but now I have to pay extra for a viagra cellphone device. Seriously, at&t sucks! 🙂 🙂

Are you serious? Some of us are on family plans. Why would I want to move my whole family to another carrier? Furthermore, think of the ETF's for all the phones. You seem to react to post or generalize, instead of think of the issue from all sides. Moreover, I am not a "fool" just a consumer looking for quality and a good service. What are you looking for? Also, I already called you out on my other post.

If they have been dropping calls "for years", then that implies an established history of AT&T and their service. The ETF isn't a factor, it's a consequence of your decision.

You move your family to another carrier when the existing service provider isn't giving the performance you deem as adequate. You said AT&T sucks, yet you continue to use them and you extended your obligation to them with the purchase of an iPhone.

If you're looking for sympathy or empathy, you won't find it here.

Here is your evidence:

Cities Supporting AT&T 3G/Mobile Broadband

AT&T's wireless data coverage reaches 303 million people -- or 97% of the U.S. population, where they live and work.

AT&T has the nation's fastest 3G network. This network covers 233 million people or 75% of the population. All AT&T 3G devices connect to AT&T's EDGE network covering 301 million people or 96% of the population. With both 3G and EDGE coverage, customers can access the Internet, send e-mail, surf the Web, stream music, download videos, send photos, text, talk and more. The only difference -- with some data applications, 3G is faster than EDGE. AT&T's GPRS network covers 303 million people, allowing you to talk, text, e-mail and access basic websites opti...

🤣 So just because I have been a member since December that makes me a rookie? A rookie at what? Typing in forums or in the industry? Which one? Because I am having trouble understanding how the date that I join this site makes me a rookie in this industry. Second of all, the things that I post in the lounge forum has nothing to do with this topic or any topic concerning phones. Thats why its called the lounge. You took those last two posts out of context because you have them labled that they were in the ATT forum, which they werent. You seem to be as crooked as you claim ATT is. That makes the second case of hypocrisy I have seen from you today. Take your ranting and raving somewhere else bud.

PS-That article still does not promise 5...

What does this post have to do with tiger woods for one.
You said you have been dropping calls for the last 3 years. When did AT&T start signing 3 year contracts. Did those phones not drop calls in the first 30 days. Reports say service is getting better in San Fran. not worse. I don't live there so I dont know. But I have read reviews on service and phones. I've been with Cingular/AT&T for 10 years. They work for me. If they didn't I would switch.

I have been with at&t since 2001! The title of this post is satire. 3 year contracts? Pointless argument. I remember when these forums were about people who were not into the cellphone industry. Things have changed.

Newsflash this site has always been swarmed with people in the industry.
So let me get this straight Skippy the Wondergenious: You have been having reception and connection problems for years so in your brilliance decided that purchasing an iphone which has a ton of reception and connectivty problems which you could of discovered easily by reading the reviews for the phone?
If you want to whine about things that are your own fault because of a choice you made in purchasing a phone and you want someone to say "Oh you poor dear, here have a cookie and cry on my shoulder" then you need to find a different site because it isn't gonna happen here.
Move along.
