AT&T Welcomes Back Customers (Without Fees)

I thought I'd let everyone know, that if you're like me and leave AT&T (for network issues/problems) to go to Sprint well watch-out! Sprint has buried in their fine print not only Government Surcharges (which is normal for any carrier to charge) but Sprint Regulatory Surcharges (which under law, Sprint can charge - its pure profit and runs $13-$19 per month per subscriber, depending upon your plan). I signed up, got my bill and saw these fine print charges then saw that on 1/1/2010 they're raising their line fees another .40 cents per line - another rip off. So under the law I canceled my account without a Early Termination Fee (ETF) as they caused a material breach in their Agreement (which allowed me to leave). I went back to AT&T, I w...

Congrats on going back to the network who would die if the iphone ever leaves...lol. Sprint is not the greatest but I will take a .20 hike over paying what att charges anyday of the week. I swear some people, if they were trying to hide it they would not even notify the customers. Go back to ATT, I am glad they welcomed you back. There is a reason they did, and with no re-activation, which by the way Sprint does the same thing unless you were required a deposit due to credit issues. ATT has their niche with the Iphone, and that is all. Which there 3G network cannot even handle

you are grossly mistaken by saying that they charge $13-$19 in surcharges. taxes may be that high, but not surcharges. and i think it's funny that you left sprint over $.40 but now are paying more for less with at&t... your math must really suck.

I dont know why everyone is saying att network is crap. I have had both a blackberry 8310 on att and a storm with verizon. If att's network is so bad, then why do I drop more calls with my storm? And why was my edge on my curve faster then my 3g with verizon? I constantly only have about 2 bars on my storm. I have also had the i phone and I did drop calls with that. The i phones radio is terrible. I could hold my curve up next to the i phone and would have 5 bars on the bb and the i phone would have next to nothing. That, in its self tells me its the i phone and not the network. When a phone is as popular as the i phone and so many people drop calls on it, I guess it is natural for people to assume its the network, but its not. I wish the i ...

Then, perhaps you should have replied to the original post, rather then a response to a response?

$13 to $19?

Your range is greatly off.

Try less than 3 bucks on the low end.
