Look @ what Rogers is giving it's customers in Canada, a REAL data network. I wish ATT's network was even capable of a quarter of this speed!!! Then, and only then would "Broadband Connect" be worth the whopping !!$60!! that ATT chargers. But in it's current state it's not even worth $30/mo!!!

I just care about voice. If AT&T would fill in it's coverage gaps in current markets, they would be a damn good carrier for voice.

I have to agree. In many areas they do a great job. But there's gaps and they're in places that have a fairly large number of people -- like a town of about 4,000 near me. Half the town has great coverage, the other half (where my parents live) is zip.

Holes along major highways and roads. I don't get it, it's like they have found a way to eek maximum profit from being #2 and have no intention of doing any better.

I think the thread indicates that if they did *either*, they'd earn some customer goodwill. The OP is correct in that AT&T seems to have started at the bottom of reliability and customer satisfaction, and ended up liking it there.

There simply is no excuse for the poor coverage in downtown Chicago. I'm well aware of the hurdles they have to face with their spectrum allocation, but this is one of the major metropolitan centers of the country.

A pragmatic company would find solutions to problems affecting the largest number of customers, and keep working down from there. The speed of resolution in areas like Chicago seems to indicate that they either move at the speed of lint, or are making enough money to keep shareholders happy an...
