Smartphone Audiovox 5600 Due??
I saw here in November that the 5600, or it's successor model, was under review by Cingular and would possibly be released by Q1 this year.
Wondering if anyone has a more recent update on status of that smartphone? They are widely available in Taipei for about $250 - if I thought it would work here I'd go ahead and buy one over there.

Its currently listed as being scheduled by April/May or release. this could always change of course

Just look at the expected delivery date of most all Cingular phones and when they actually came out.
If you want an unlocked SMT5600 I had about 10 of them and sold them to a friend. He is selling them on Ebay under his name CaddyPhones
He is a power seller with over 1000+ positive feedback.
Moto A630 is a great example... people were talking about it as a Sept 04-Nov 04 release. It's still not here.
The SMT5600 is a GREAT phone. I used one for a long time. (like about 2 months). That is long for me since I always change phones ever 2 weeks or so.
