Anyone have any tips on troubleshooting internet? I have no clue. And I HATE these calls.

Why do people need internet on a freakin phone anyway.

Ok im done venting but any tips would help.

1.) Take handset over to computer.
2.) Set handset on desk.
3.) Turn on computer.
4.) Log on to ISP via computer.
5.) POW! Internet access!

Sorry, I'm all sorts of sarcastic this morning

Dang Shay, I don't have a pc anymore. You can't fathom all the things I do on the internet with my phone, like this forum.

I understand your frustration. I have a pc it just doesnt work and I am ok with it for now. When I have trouble connecting I always try to send a MMS which uses the GPRS connection. If that doesnt work either I am pretty sure its the GPRS network that is experiencing trouble. I then switch from using Media Net as my connection to using the Home connection (which uses dial-up portion of my phone modem) to give me a better idea if its Cingulars issue or my phone issue. 100% of the time its Cingulars issue and they have it back up and running as soon as they can.

I also carry a backup Moto V400 and Nokia 6800 in my lunch box for access at work and if neither of those work, then it is a problem at Cingular.

But then they send back a freaking feedback to my supervisor because we didnt check systems we didnt know exist.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Ok done now. sorry

this is my advise and i have transferred maybe one or two calls on this issue..make sure the feature is active in care...add a svc line under sub maintenance/services..under gprs in snooper make sure you have wap and isp...also if that does not work look up "data support handset settings" in csp...it will bring back tier III wap settings for every phone...and if they have a samsung and it is saying no response from network it is because their password is incorrect under their wap profile
