Upgrade question...
Ok so if I'm eligable for am upgrade in October, but I wanted to get the iPhone 3gs now an I pay 499 instead of 299 will I lose my upgrade in October?

The 499 price is an "early upgrade" price. Full retail would be the $699 price tag. 🙂
So yes, he would definitely lose his upgrade eligibilty in october.
