Pay at&t the 800.00 deposit they want, I know I will get it back after 1 year or serviice. A few questions though....

How will I get it back? Check? On the bill? My choice?

What if I CAN'T pay on time ONCE or twice, do I forfit the 800.00???

they issue the deposits back as checks now.

as long as you call Customer service and set and *KEEP* payment arrangements so your service doesn't get interrupted, you'll get it back. 🙂

You can either request a check back from them after a year of service, or have them put it toward your bill. They will automatically put it toward your bill unless you tell them not to. Yes if you do not pay your bill on time or have any service interruptions for non-pay they will keep the $800.

You wont forfeit the $800 if you are suspended for nonpayment.

The one year "clock" restarts the month of your suspension.

For example.....

You activate sevice on 4.24.09. You pay on time for 6 months. on 11.24.09 you get suspended, you have 2 wait until 11.24.10 before the deposit is released. Assuming no more missed payments. If you are suspended again, 1 year from THAT date, etc.

This is correct, but I have also heard some reps say it's 6 months, if the first year has passed. You won't ever really LOSE the deposit, it'll always be applied to something.

Also when your 2 years is up they have to release it no matter what, so if you have crappy payment history just wait two years instead of one...
