Deposit?
What is the deposit structure at AT&T like? ie, what is the cut off for no deposit, and what is the break down of how much the deposit is after that line?
...
The deposits I've seen with AT&T are as follows:
-no dep 1st and 2nd lines, $150 dep lines 3-5
-no dep 1st line, $150 dep lines 2-5
-$150 per line
-$200
-$300
-$500
-$750
-$1000
I've also seen that AT&T is very strict with their credit classes, as I require a $150 deposit with them while I am approved for up to 5 lines, no deposit with every other carrier in my area.

In the 9 years that I have been with Southwestern Bell/Cingular/ATT, the largest deposit that I have seen was $800. ATT usually reserves the $800 deposit for people who owe one of their departements money for a closed account. For instance, if you owed old ATT Wireless $1000, then the credit check will come back with an $800 deposit, and if you contact Analyst Review for the reason, they will give you and the customer the reason for the deposit. You then can give the give the customer the information and they can contact collections to get the account straightend out. Once the old account is clear, then credit would have to be run again, but no assurance that there will not be any deposit required to get service.

Deposit range:
$0
$100
$150
$300
$500 (limited credit history)
$750
$800 (wearhoused account, aka collections)
$100.
Now there are going to be different deposits in different markets.

That is what I thought... I work for a different company, but have a line with AT&T, had no deposit on the first line, will on the rest of $150 if I decide to go family. Anyways, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something since I have had several folk tell me my deposits are crazy and At&T said no deposit on all 4 lines, yada yada yada... which I figured was BS, especially since their score just came back sub 500, but boredom and curiosity got the best of me and I had to ask.
