Service and Phones

I have been an AT&T customer for over 6 years and the service and phones have gotten worse and worse. For my most recent contract I got a SonyEricson slider phone. Before I got it I asked about the phone because my previous phone, a Motorola had quit working about 10 months into my contract and had to be replaced, which they did without any hassel I feel that I should get at least an equal amount of use of a phone as the contract. The slider was recommended. 7 months into the contract the SonyEricson slider would just start turning off, not dial calls. dial calls but no sound. I took it to AT&T Instructed to call a 1-800 number. Did so, then told I had to call from another phone. Did so. They ran 5 or so tests and wanted me to do one m...

Peace out nerd, guess what? They all do it. I've worked for VZW and tmo and my roommate worked for att. So good luck when your crappy phone that you bought from another service provider craps out and they do the same thing. Get over it and buy a new one. No but seriously they all screw you over, its a business and they will squeeze every cent possible out of you, thats their job.

So let's sum it it up.

Your canceling because;
A. You can't figure out how to get the battery cover off.
B. Your forgetful
C. You think 7 months into your contract ATT should just take you at your word and give you another phone.

First off, all those phones surrounding you in the ATT store...THEY WORK! You could of saved yourself allot of time by calling the 1-800 number with one of those phones, with your SE inhand, and plenty of ATT employees.

Second, did you have insurance

Thirdly, in my experience CS agents got you. You better be nice to them, plus you probably make more money than them. Give em' a brake.

No offense but you were completely unreasonable and they are going to laugh at you. First of all why wouldnt you bring the broken phone with you? Why would you call on the phone having a problem? Common sense dictates... my phones broken; i need to be off the phone and need to have it with me. No offense but you couldnt even get the back off of the phone. They cooperated and tolerated your behavior several times but this by far is ridiculous. The AG is going to laugh in your face.

I've helped 100's of people in my store call warranty. It is a pretty simple process as long as you give them the information they need. I know its frustrating that you've called in and almost finished it before and they ask you for all the same information again but it all has to be done on one call they can't piece information together. If you fail to plan, plan to fail I guess. I've watched customers try and do it themselves and they always react emotionally everytime when they are on the phone and will hang up because they get frustrated.

I don't think you can say the phones and service have gotten worse over the years. The company has spent billions to make the network better. As for the phones, where'd you get them. Cause i'm pretty sure your talking about the free phones, and you get what you pay for my friend.
