Basically thats the question. I got a new phone recently and want to go ahead and get a nation plan rather than region, to do that will i be required to sign a contract?

also i will be needing to buy a SIM card for my new phone, will they give me any hassle for that? i'v heard i can buy one from them for $30ish bucks and be done with it.

thanks.

if u are out of contract and change your price plan and include anything promtional ie: nights and weekends mobile to mobile etc then yes you will have to extend.

so any plan that states a certain amount of night and weekend minutes etc then its considered promotional i will have to get a contract

what if i choose a plan can i tell them i dont want the promotional aspects and stay off the contract?

Now, if you accept any promos different than the ones you have now, you will have to get a new contract. Since you're going to a national plan, the N/W and mobile to mobile promos are different even though they do the same thing 😁

Umm... only if that rep wants a coaching... Its policy and only certain business customers can have promos with no contract extension... So, you might get a deal depending on your equipment but you'll still have to agree to a new contract (at least 12 months)

If you want an equipment discount, you would need to sign up for another contract.

As I understand it, if you stay in the same plan family, you can change w/out contract, but I'm not 100% for sure on that one.

Only if its a current plan.If its expired then you have to renew it.If you change your plan type -Regional to Nation or other way around you have to , in order to get any of the benefits.

Remember that night and weekend minutes and mobile to mobile minutes are promotions not included in the plan.

No, only true 'promotional' item requiring a contract is Unlimited M2M.

You only need to sign a contract if you get a discount on a new phone or take a promotional item, of which the only promo offer we have ATM is Unlimited Mobile to Mobile. We do have our Nation plan both with and without UMM.

As to the SIM, true, you can buy one outright from and store, even an authorized dealer, no questions asked or reason needed.
