so i heard about chacha when it was first starting and was free.

my g/f has at&t service as well, but when she txt chacha it informed her of a .99 fee for each question...

so at&t promotes chacha and is helping it grow, but is it still a .99 fee for messages? because i never got that charge when i first started using it.

thanks anyone for your input.

It sounds like a boost or virgin mobile service.

AT&T did not purchase CHACHA. They have just created a "strategic relationship" as put by the press release issued by AT&T. See link for full release.

People get your facts right... Cha cha is not tied to any one cell provider. Its just like google... It is just a mobile service that you can text to get information. It is free. Now at&t has partnered with cha cha to help them have more information available to cust and to make the answer process faster. SO if yall would read and really understand the info you would know this already...

It is not a "service" by any specific carrier. ChaCha has been around for about a year or so as an alternative to Google, MSN, Yahoo, and the other search giants. How it works is instead of a computer directly doing the research for you there is a human doing it. When you ask a question it is sent to one of the companies many "researchers" who then looks for the answer and fowards the information back to you. See below for an quote of the site.

ATT just happens to be marketing their service.

"ChaCha is like having a smart friend you can call or text for answers on your cell phone anytime for free! ChaCha works with virtually ever...
