😎 I like the new phones ATT just announced. They're getting alot more flexible on the types of phones they're making.
...
At&t doesn't make phones. They are expanding their line up options though, which is nice. Until recent, its really been pick your color and that's about it.
...
yeah. did you hear sprint announced two new colors of the centro today? Exciting huh!
...
I'm glad they finally came out with a phone that is ment for texting. Every other company has at least one maybe two but they came out and smashed it with four different ones. Covering all types of styles. Its pretty rad.
...
Agreed. The range is pretty nice. Now if only more of them had media flo technology.
...
by media flo u mean like the vu920 which is tv capable right? because tv coverage will be huge within a year or two
...
Amen. Its about dang time.
...
Really????!!!! what were the colors!!
...
AT&T is still ABSENT from the high-end camera phone market!!!

And you still need to get a life! You are the ONLY one I see who harps on this. As a photographer, there is NO replacement for the real thing. If you are buying a phone for the camera, you are buying for the wrong reason.

A cell phone is everything now a days, and so I try to get as close to best in everything I can. Best camera, best music, best internet experience, a phone is everything now a days.
Are you some sort of old person who only acknowledges a cell phone as a voice communication device and that's it???

So you are saying that you settle for a hybrid device with marginal overall quality in a lot of different features instead of getting high-quality camera, sound system, laptop/desktop. Interesting.
I am older, but know and appreciate and sell the value of the equipment. One factor that is never a major deciding factor is the quality of the camera. And I do aveage sales of over 300 devices per month.
I also am a trained photographer, and know the value of a top-quality device intended for the use, and there is no phone that can match the quality of a camera (either digital or film - my preference is the latter as there is more flexibility in printing in the lab than you can ever tweak in a computer).
...
To me, it's just a major convenience having this all in one device, sure there's nice digital cameras out there, but I like the ability to send quality pix to an email address directly from my cameraphone. It takes good night pix. I do wish my cameraphone has image stabilization, that would be a nice feature!
Wow, so you sell 300 phones a month, that sure is a lot.
...
No kidding! If I was selling 300 activations a month I'd be rich!
...
What's your avg? Guess completly out of ignorange,...50? Just a guess.

You never quit do you? Don't bother answering that. I'll tell you what. Come up with a comprehensive list of quad band GSM high Megapixel camera phones that have been approved by the fcc. That would probably be a good start. If you can find more than a couple then I might concede you're right.
...
1st of all, a phone doesn't have to be quad band to work on AT&T's network. Proof: I've owned a Sharp V903, with a 3.2mp auto-focus camera btw, that phone was tri-band and it worked plenty fine.
W/o doing research, just off the top of my head here are FOUR examples:
1. Nokia N95-3
2. Nokia N79
3. SE K850
4. Samsung Omnia
...
I wonder how people would react if they went to a studio to have portraits done and the photographer pulled out his phone to snap the pics.
"Hey, this is my high end unlocked cameraphone that I bought off eBay! It takes great pics. Did I mention that I bought it unlocked off eBay?"
...
I wish that they offered more phones that did not have a camera. I prefer 35mm film to digital camera anyway, much less a phone camera. They're okay for an occasional photo but that's about all. I'd rather use a cell phone for wireless communications. Symbian phones are awesome. Wish they would come out with some high end nokia phones again.

Your opinion is the same as 99.9% of the market, which makes it economically impractical to offer the "high-end camera phones" at subsidized prices. Economic viability of profit drives what devices are offered. Simple Economics 101 - supply and demand drives the market. No demand = no supply.

The new W760 has a 3.2 megapixel camera. Sony still makes and sells them. Just not as often to the U.S. markets.

At&t will be offering the 6650 shortly.
