Smart Limits for Wireless Question
OK, so I was browsing around on the Verizon forum, and I read a thread about they're version of the Smart Limits. Well a customer had a issue saying one of the reps at Verizon told her she could put the feature on her childs account and for whatever minutes you set, if they hit the minutes they wont be able to use they're phone. Well apparently thats not the case and all she recieved was a text saying the kid went past those minutes. It did not stop the phone from making calls. Now is that the same way with At&t? Plus, is it the same with texts, web, and downloads?

it stops the phone from making calls at the set minute amount. however, you can set it so that they can call "emergency" numbers you set up. as long as they are M2M numbers you shouldn't be billed. you can also block certain numbers (i.e. ex-boyfriends/girlfriends) that mom or dad don't want their child from talking or texting. you can also set internet limits as far as how much and downloads. i've set up a few Smart Limits for customers and it works pretty well.
hope that helps

Actually it works the same as verizon. When it originally came out it did stop them when they hit their minutes, but had to change due to emergency calls.
