Ok, Can anyone help me out. I am about to upgrade my phone, I'd like to do it this week and upgrade to the Black Jack II. But, I dont want to get stuck into a two year contract and have a new cooler phone come out next month. Is there any nice smart phones, with qwerty key board i should hold off for, is the BlackJack a nice phone, and worth the extension.

Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks

The Blackjack II is a fine phone, especially if you are hip to Windows Mobile. It has everything you would expect from a current Smartphone.

If you are wanting to hold out for the latest tech, the best thing on the near horizon is the Blackberry Bold. It's basically a souped up Curve from what I can read about it. It has a 624mhz processor, a higher resolution screen (480x320), wi-fi, video recording, mobile video streaming, 5 hour talk time battery, 1GB on board memory, and comes with MS Word to Go and Slideshow to Go if you need to edit documents from your phone.

What are you willing to spend? The new Bold should be nice but will probably also be at least 3 times as much.

I would to spend 300 or less, but it all depends on how nice the phone is. The blackberry bold shouldn't be more than 300 with 2 year agreement right?

I think they were talking about it being 300 after rebate. Release date according to at&t is going to be nov 3rd.

A buddy of mine who is a COR rep told me just yesterday that the Bold will be shipped and in stores by the 1st of October and be ready for sale on the 2nd. The price though is the hidden point as he said he thinks it will follow the basic pricing of the Tilt when it came out. So expect for that.

Sigma: The date that you stated (Nov 3) is the projected start of ATT's holiday sales campaign and not the sale of the BB Bold.

Yeah I have been seeing that a lot around here. But I haven't seen anything out there on the mainstream (ie: engadget, BGR or CB) so I don't know what to believe.
