This phone will be released to Cingular in mid March to the first of April. Lots of people waiting. I would guess on a price of $299.00 with a $50.00 - $100.00 mail in rebate with 2 year agreement. The aboved mentioned Sony ericcson & motorola phone are not GSM phone & will not be releaed by cingular

The SE 710 is a GSM phone.

So is the Moto A630. He was a little off on both of those 😳

When is Cingy getting the A630? I'm wit vzw and this moto will get me to come over... and DT... I mean T-Mobile sux here in the states. Any other ideas mates? I text bout 1000 mems a month.... but bugger off wit da Nok 6820... that things is a bunch of ballocks... I can get that in london for bout 30 quid unlocked.

Sorry missed on both. What I am trying to say is that Cingular goes through a testing process on all phone. I have heard of neither of those being released to Cingular & approved by cingular 😁

Man dont go over to the S710 forum..those guys are going nuts waiting on that phone..if it had an OS like my Nokia 6620 I would also want it, but since it doesnt, I think I may have the best overall phone, at least a top 5 phone, in the market place today..

Here is a reiteration of Cingular's up and comming phones. Now this can vary from market to market

Motorola - a630 - these phone are at the Memphis warehouse, should be shipping to stores by 2-8-05. V635 - will be launched late March early May.

Treo - the 650 will be ready for sale in the Dallas market on 2-24-05

Sony Ericsson - S710 - prelim. reports have it ready for sale on 2-13-05. The first day of the new rate plans. Not sure how the learn to earn contest with SE will factor in.

Samsung - The c207 and P777 will be available in February. I can not get my rep to call me back to confirm this.

Nokia - the 7270 and 7280 are scheduled for late march???

Nokia- is the 6170, not the 7270 or 7280 and the 3220.

Treo- the 650 is onsale now.

Motorola- A630, when the get it fixed. No v635, maybe late summer.

SE- s710a when the get it fixed.

Samsung- c207 in the warehouse now waiting for 02-13-2005 launch date. P777 and p207 late march.

I just had a call this morning about the Treo 650. I haven't been able to find it on the web for our market though. No launch announcement, not on cingular.com, nowhere. Do you corporate guys know something we don't? 🤣 .

As for the a630 and the s710a do you happen to know what's wrong with them? I'm imagining a 850MHz problem with the 630 (t-mo's using it after all, unless our standards are just more exacting), but I can't figure what would be wrong with the s710a. Any info would be appreciated, I get regular questions about these here lately.

not being a dick dude, but a varience on release date is understandable. but cingular has not decieded to even sale the v635, 7280, or the 7270. it doesn't have an 850Mhtz version yet.

you're still way off. the s710a will be out when it is fixed and no glitches. the same goes for the a630. both are in Cingular's system and already have sku numbers. the v635 is not however, it is doubtful the Cingular will carry that model at this time.

Cingualr has APPROVED the v635. I have seen no sku number for either phone. I keep inventory in a retail store & attend conference call all of the time on new equipment. The v635 WAS approved last week, as for the other two I haven't seen anything on it as of yet. It my happen in other markets but as for the three state region that I work in I haven't seen it yet. I can admit when I am wrong, & maybe I am IF infact these phones are in other markets. I just dont see Cingular takeing on another phone that has issues straight out of the gate. The Samsun E317 issues was a nightmare to all, & I just don't see Cingular takeing that chance again. I DO knoe that the v635 is on the way mid march to early APRIL

if you say so, but unitl cingular loads them into the data base, there is no release date. v635, v557 or nowhere to be seen in OTIVA.
