COR REPS

LicorShot

May 1, 2008, 1:14 PM
i been thinking about this and i am kinda annoyed at att because they don't pay the reps that know more things better than they pay the reps that are coming off the streets with NO knowledge

what is your hourly wage is my question
starting and present wage in dollars

how long have u neen with att/cingular

and are u paid what your worth

are u union ?

start was $9.50 in July 06
presetn is $9.88 in May 08

been here just about 2 years

and i have over 3 years experience before i even got here
everyone comes to me with questions and i offer my help to everyone even the DM sends customers to me
so i am easily a $11.50 an hour employee due to my knowledge and constant studying of the services and new things coming out...

I dont start quite but I'll start out at 10.60 an hour. But thats with a year and a half of cellphone experience. So not brand new. But i didnt take a pay cut coming from California in a call center, but thats expected especially with retail.

Your union and you've only had a .38 cent raise? Is that a typo?

I started at 9.68 and am at 12 and some change. I've been here about 3 years. We get a 5% (about) raise every 6 months...

You might want to look at the pay scale in the contract to make sure your at the right rate.

It doesn't hurt to ask for a raise. If you are really the go-to guy with technical questions they will value your work and honor a raise.

so ash i have been pushing this raise thing around a bit ... my ARSM is like well there is nothing we can
do about it because u are already hired .....

as for the other guy posting about making 12 an hour and i am barely at 10 ... i don't understand the 5% raise thing u are talking about

where are u located at so i can take a look at that info and battle it with us

and i take it your union so let me know what i should be looking for
my union meeting is on thursday this week so that would be perfect timing

Unions are bad. But that's a different story that belongs in the Lounge.

Look into VZW. With a year and some months of wireless experience and 3 years of sales experience, I started off with VZW at $10.50/hr + $1300/mo (target, I usually exceed it) commission. That was like 4 years ago, I'm sure you will get paid more now.

I've saw a side by side comparison between VZW and AT&T in regards to their benifits package and VZW treats their employees better than AT&T.

I'll have been with AT&T (always orange) for 4 years this October. I started at 11.27 and am at 14.41 right now. Starting wage has went down a bit from what ive heard from the newer guys. I can tell you that starting wage rates are different in each market (i'm in Chicago) and the scales for new hires are changed with each new union agreement. As far as I know, the wages are not negotiable after you are hired. Sell the hell out of wireline products if you want to bank this year.

here is my take on it again ....
i can't sell wireline product because i am at a kiosk

i can't sell IPHONES cause apple is in the mall with me too

the att kiosk sorta fall under the experience store type of attitude here and yet
i am not getting experience store money ....

so heres the question
do i come at att and say I want a raise or do i just slowly step to T mobile when they get here in october ?

i am just super frustrated with this money situation and frankly my numbers are reflecting it because i have NO motivation to help this company grow .... i think we should all agree that KIOSK sales are much harder to attain then cor store sales ...

anyone wanna hand me out some advice ?
