Thinking about switching????

I have Alltel now, does ATT offer anytime plan changes without signing a new contract?

I think the lit says yes, within the first year. I have done it up to the one month prior to end date without any extensions.

Contract extensions with rate plan changes have been gone for a while now. Even when they existed, the circumstances which actually necessitated renewal were pretty rare (adding a promotional element that the customer didn't already have).

At this point, it's pretty much only phone upgrades that require contract renewals. Maybe the 59.99 Laptop Connect Unlimited plan still requires it. Haven't looked at that one in a while.

The laptop does if it's a new activation but not if you are just changing to the international plan, but with the international data plan you will be charged a $175 if you change within a year.
