Need REAL Advice
Ok here is the story: I have been unemployed and have been unable to pay my phone bill for 2 months... It was 274 for the 2 months that I didnt pay then they added the 175 making it like 450... Then they sent it to collections and they added on their fees... it is now 549... ok i called at&t and the nice lady told me that i would have to put down a 500 deposit to get my service back... So is it best that I pay the 549 and then pay the 500 deposit or should I go to another phone comapny once I pay the 549 that i owe? Thanks

Stay. Cause your credit score is messed up now. You might as well just stay and work your credit back up.
Actually, you should have put a freeze on your account until you could pay your bill.
When you screw up your credit, it just makes life harder.
Now, T-Mobile will let you do a "flexpay", where you pay the next month in advance. You might wanna try that.

It really does make it harder...at least I learned early on in life... being 23 and getting alot of credit cards do not mix đ We dont have T-Mobile in NC (yet at least).... I wish I would have known I could have froze my account but thanks for the helpful info anyway....

yah. if you switch, the deposit will be high with Verizon and AT&T. Sprint's ok, but still a little high. Alltel is lower.
Depends. No problem.

WOW that is tooooo much!!! I think I will just pay off at&t and restart service with them for the $500 deposit....besides they are the best to me...

It's worth it if they're the best in the area.
Make sure you pay bills on time. Build up your credit. Credit is KINDA important.

Trust if I could go back a year I would have never got all those credit cards âšī¸ young and not thinking doesnt go together LOL especially when ya think ya will never be out of work...

You really only need one credit card. Three at the MOST. I have two banks, two debit/credit cards and one credit card. You'll never be out of work unless you're really lazy. Anyone can do janitorial jobs, or construction. Work at Best Buy. Things like that. Most people just don't want to.
