my parents are getting me a new phone for christmas since my contract is up. i'm leaning towards the v9. are there any other interesting phones coming out before the holiday? if you guys could list some off that would be awesome.

Well, you obviously didn't even look at the website and know very little about wireless industry. See, you can buy unlocked phones to use with at&t. The SE k850i has been for sale for a couple weeks. If you want something even more "interesting" than that, you should look at the nokia n95 8gb edition.

Sorry about that post caesar, its pretty obvious that you were talking about resigning your contract for an at&t phone. I actually have a v9, I don't think its worth the money. You can get almost the same thing in a v3xx for a bunch less. Do you want a phone or a pda/smartphone? I think the sony 580i is a good one, and if you could wait for the 750 or 850 I would. Sonys are great phones. I think I'm gonna get the blackjack 2 to hold me out till an iphone 2. Good luck
