NEED HELP: Phone lost service and says "UNRIGESTERED SIM"
This happened to my wife's phone this morning. She is in an area which normally has excellent service. She has been a Cingular customer since August.
Does anyone know of a known problem that would cause this?

Mine's done that before. Have you tried turning the phone off, and then back on?

I'll tell her to do that next time I talk to her. (She left me a msg from work saying that this had happened, I don't have any other info).

or possibly just a dirty or dislodged sim... best thing to do is just to take it out and reseat it... could have possible bumped the phone too hard and got dislodged (i know this happend once when i droped my phone)
if this keeps happending to her after she reseats the sim, then yea it could be a bad sim
