Buying unlocked phone (Pure Mobile?)

BeachSlapped

I just saw an add on here for this website. They sell unlocked GSM phones. They seem to have the best prices. Has anyone dealt with them? Or does anyone know of maybe any other (reliable) one? Im new to this whole buying unlocked thing. Im excited and scared at the same time. What if I get a refurb? Could that happen? 😕

Be careful, because at&t won't provide tech support for it, and you WILL NOT be able to access medianet.

That is absolutely not true. Until you know what you are talking about, please dont spread false statements.

Or have a warranty through at&t. {It's common sense, but people still call me and try to do exchanges though at&t with non-at&t phones}.

There are many good sites, but it really depends on what kind of phone the OP is looking for. There are at least 5 good sites to buy from, so I always check prices at each site first.

Right. It takes a while to get a hold of anyone.

I bought a Motorola Mpx220 from them. It worked, except for the MMS, which kinda sucked. It's an older phone, so don't base your experience of fof that. They're based out of Canada; so if you're in the USA, like I am, it make take a little longer to get your phone.

I've never bought a Moto unlocked, but 3 SE's and 2 Nokias and you can download MMS and WAP settings directly to your phone. Its pretty simple now. I dont know how easy/difficult it was several years ago, as I have only been buying unlocked phones for about 18 months.

If I do unlocked again, it'll be HTC, for sure.
