UMTS V3 Pink?
Ok, I just finished an upgrade. A customer bought a V3 pink. At the beginning of the process it asks you if you are upgrading to another GSM phone or UMTS, right? Well, this is a V3 pink, not a V3xx. It would not let me continue with the upgrade until I selected UMTS as the technology. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance.

It might be the v3xx in pink. But look at the key pad to see if you ahve the video. If not, then you may have made an mistake on the imei.

The pink V3xx also has the "chrome" looking interior and does not have the dedicated menu button that the V3s do (the button in the top middle with the three lines on it).

If nobody has said this yet, I think the new blue AT&T SIM cards make it do that. Does it change the SIM box to UICC?

I can be hard on Tim. He is a mentor and a colleague. He was the one who trained me while I worked in Lubbock and set the fire under my ass to continue to be a selling menace for AT&T.

Its a system error, its not UMTS, but you have to treat it like it is.....
