How Often Can I Upgrade My Phone?

Matt_a

I'm kinda new to Cingular/At&T. I was with VZW for years, but I switched over about 5 months ago. I'm just currious...how often can you upgrade your phone with AT&T at a discounted price? I always had a 2-year contract with VZW also, but they allowed me to upgrade at around 21 months (can't remember exactly when, but that's close). Does AT&T do anything like that? Thanks in advance.

Market I signed up with? What does that mean? I went to my local mall and signed up for the $59 Family Plan w/two lines at a Radio Shack store in Hanover, PA (17331).

As in what part of the country. I know here in Washington DC-Baltimore, upgrades are 18 months usually and 12 months if your plan is $75+

Ah..I see. Thanks for the info. I'm totally happy with my current phone (SE W300i) but I'm a pathetic gadget lover. I'll be itching for some cool new phone waaay before two years are up. ๐Ÿ™‚

That's ****, our customers have to wait 21 out of 24 months to upgrade. At times if the primary line is in great standing and over like $59.99 or something they will make it like 19 of the 24 months. I am in the Mountain time zone market.

the account rep said it was due to stiff competition from VZW in this market

basically, there's more VZW subscribers than at&t here even when you add the resellers

changes at times sometimes 1 year prices are not available
21 months typical ๐Ÿ™‚
11 months when equipment on a 1 year contract ๐Ÿคจ

Cheap go phones work as replacements but reps are not allowed to suggest this solution.

Warranty can replace/repair phones out of warranty for a FEE or damaged in warranty. Cost varies on phone but you can only* get the same type of phone.

*if before 3 legitimate exchanges you need not bother asking

LOL...that's great! It's about time the military got a break on something. ๐Ÿ™‚
I'm not sure, but I think I may be on a "Premier Account" through my employer. If that's true and I can do that too, I'll have to watch for new cool phones (no, I'm not spending $600 for an iphone).

This interested me, so I checked into it. According to the website, my college has an agreement with them. It says I qualify and an e-mail has been sent. I check the e-mail, click the link, it sends me right back to the same home page to enter my e-mail. I enter my e-mail says I qualify and an e-mail has been sent to me with a link. This cycle continues.

Any idea what's going on?
