Hey everybody... new to this forum with questions
I'm certainly not new to phonescoop, but I had no business in the Cingular forum previously. So I found out today that Day One for the new combined Cingular is NOVEMBER 15th! Did anybody else have any idea about this? In other words, we have less than a three week turnaround from closing day to Day One, as they have dubbed it. Amazing. My poor AWS rep has no idea what to do with himself and is trying frantically to get trained in time, as am I. One thing I noticed is that today I got my new Cingular brochures, and it looks like Oregon (where I am, and previously having no Cingular at all) is showing less coverage in the Cingular brochure map than they had in the latest ATTWS GSM map. One thing I heard from a customer don't take my word for it but apparently AT&T customers on an AT&T GSM rate plan have been able to use Cingular GSM towers for about two months now but anyone on a Cingular rate plan w/ Cingular already has to wait to use the AT&T towers because it could take up to 2 year to update them fully to Cingular towers.
These towers will progressively become available to Cingular customers as they begin updating them on the 15th. Where they are going to start my guess is good as yours.
