Blackjack Update to Windows MObile6 is Here.
😲 Okay I was brave and tried out the link and ran the update. Let me just say that it is real, it works and I am loving it. I while it was doing it's thing I got worried because the read outs were different from what they normally are but I guess that goes with the new update...

Faster. Things are easier to get to. IE, to send a text is easier. Graphics are better. Programs start faster. ETC. Internet Expl. Is improved greatly. HSDPA is utilized more.

I figured out that there is a size requirement for mp3 ringtones of 300k. what you will have to do is get sound editing software and cut the part of the song out that you want then save it as an mp3. all my sound clips are about 20 seconds long and i had to encode them at 80kbps for them to be under the 300k size limit. the sound quality is ok, not great, but its better than the standard crap thats on the rom. hope this helps.

There is a file under HKKC Registry(?)> something along the lines of "max file size." Just delete this and use whatever mp3 file you want.
Personally, I think WM6 (which is obviously some sort of beta or prerelease) sucks right now. I would wait for the full version and I am currently looking for the WM5 file to flash back to.
One thing that bothers me is hold down a key no longer uses the alternate key (you have to press num lock to use numbers and go to options>symbols to use any symbols), holding pound down puts phone in silent instead of of vibrate mode, contrary to the previous comment IE is much less usable, bluetooth syncing is nearly impossible. I really can't name any actual improvements other than things are SLIGHTLY better l...

I downloaded and installed this to my phone last week. Although the intrface is beautiful, smooth, and gives us blackjack users a full version of windows mobile office, it has to many issues for me to use this generic version of 6. I would just wait for a real version of this to be released for the BJ.

maybe i wanst paying attention or my rae is just late. but i dont see theres an update in csp nor did my rae tell me about it. is this an approved download? if i start telling customers about it will it void their warranty?

It will void the warranty since this isn't yet approved by AT&T. It will be officially released in July though, so be patient.. 🙂
