um.. wet camera

so, suppose my wife left her phone in a bag that kinda got slightly wet..

I took about the battery, sim let it dry out, but now all it does is have the red screen of death..
we've only had the phone for a 6 mos. Is it repairable? will i be able to get a refurbished phone cheap?
any ideas [and i don't want to cheat anyone] but I'd like to keep this inexpensive..

what kind of phone is it .....
u can find tons of phone around in the paper ... www.craigslist.com
everywhere

need more info on the phone

Ebay and craigslist are going to be the least expensive ways unless you know someone who has an old cingular phone that they are not using.

buying a phone from these places will come with no warranty....so beware of this

you should see if there are any local repair centers around your city. We own one and they can clean out water damage to a certain extent. Many of those same places sell refurbished phones as well.
