Samsung E317?

Does anyone have the new Samsun E317? I don't see many helpful reviews on the site, so I need someone who owns it to give me the low down on it's performance. I'm thinking of switching to Cingular when my T-Mobile contract is up in a month and am looking at either the Samsung E317 or Samsung X427M for my first phone.

And what's the deal with the 1000 Rollover minutes TOTAL for the whole month? That's supposed to be a good deal? Is there no way to get that 1000 WITH Unlimited Nights/Weekends? And I guess Mobile to Mobile would be a give away for $39.99, huh? lol.

I will play with the E317 tonight at work and then come back and review it.

As for the 1000 anytime minutes for $39.99, thats the special. Some people, like my cousin, talk more during the day than during the night, so the 1000 anytime minutes covers them. The plan does not include N/W minute or unlimited M2M minutes, but does include roll over. Cingular does not offer extra night and weekend minutes, so none can be added to the plan. Unlimited M2M minutes is $9.99 extra. Personally, the 450 anytime, Unlimited M2M and unlimited N/W plan for the same price is a much better deal.

Yeah, I noticed the other plans. Cause at first, when I went to Cingular's website, I thought it included N/W minutes. That wouldn't work too well for me, since I do most of my talkin' at night and on the weekends in the first place. I am currently with T-Mobile and they had me on 1000 Whenever, Unlimited N/W, and M2M for $49.99. So, I naturally thought that Cingular was tryin' to one up them with the 1000 Anytime.

Thanks for the info, tho. I'll be lookin' for that review. 😁

t-mobile almost always offers more minutes than the competitors, but that's because they don't have as large a network. course like anything else, it all depends on where you live/use the phone...I'm not trying to dog t-mobile, i'm sure it works just fine for plenty of people

What do you want to know about the E317/E316/E315.. i have played with all three models... they are all really nice. small and compact. Sound quality and screen quality is by far excellent. However, what really stinks is the ring tone selection and the amount of memory on the phones.. no more than like 10 ring tones and no more than 4500k of storage on the phones.. Personally if you are going to spend the money on it and can sacrifice the flip i would go with the 6230 from Nokia.. However, one feature i do like on the e31X is the fact that you can have it shut and hold the camera button on the right and it will appear on the outside display and you can look at it and take pictures. The new borders for the pictures is an awesome enhanceme...
