I thought they meant just UNLIMITED TEXT,the 5.00 is only for other cingular customers. Not helpful if you don't know many!

Give them time. They're now the only national carrier that does have it (well, effective Monday when VZW officially launches theirs).

They'll feel the pressure soon enough and roll out one of their own. They're going to have to.

If 3,000 messages (soon to be 6,000?) isn't enough , you need a life....... seriously, 100 message per day average, and you still need more?

Some people (of example deaf people or mute people) only text... There for 6000 a month probably would not be sufficient.

I think we need a text only plan for those people, without voice service. If we can provide 6000 messages a month for $20, surely we can provide unlimited with no voice for $30 or even $40. Deaf people having to add on their texting to a voice package irritates me.

We have plans for people who are hard of hearing or have other physical disabilities........ perhaps I should have been more specific, people who text in place of real human interaction were who I was referring to

There is a plan like that for people with disabilities, but I believe you can only do it through customer service by specifically asking for it. It's something like $30. The only downside of this plan is that you can't get rebates due to the lack of voice plan ☚ī¸

The rebates also require a plan of $39.99 or higher. People with older plans of anything less wont get them.

They should really put that plan in the system to sell!

Although they aren't advertising it as they should (changing the name and, as my managers tell me, picking out the new packaging for phones and accessories, is a daunting task), YES! Cingular now has unlimited mobile to mobile texting, starting at $9.99 for unlimited Cingular text/video/pic messaging and 200 additional messages (for IMing and texting to other providers). If you already have a text package with Cingular, it's just a $5 add-on. 😁

Again..That's for mobile to mobile(on network) only. It does not include any other carriers, unless it from that 200 in original message starter package.
