Will customers of ATTWS that are in contract be able to switch over to a Cingular contract (with signging a new contract, Im assuming) when the merger closes? Or will the ATTWS customer have to stick with the ATTWS plan until the contract is completely over? I have heard multiple answers from both sides. Any information?

When you decide to migrate from ATTWS to Cingular you will start a new cingular contract and end the ATTWS contract... The new cingular contract will be effective the day you migrate.

That is kind of what I've been trying to find out. I have asked CSRs from ATTWS and Cingular. I asked them if I am on an ATTWS contract and want to switch to a Cingular plan, post merger, if I would have to wait until my ATTWS contract is done or could I do it right then if I sign a new contract. They told me I had to wait until my ATTWS contract was over before I could switch plans like that. That just doesn't make any sense if they are becoming one company.
