Today consumer reports said that mcdonalds coffee is better than starbucks. 🤣 This just proves that these studies ripping cingular mean nothing. Now we just need JD power to say that totinos pizza beats pizza hut and everyone will realize not pay attention to these studies and decide for themselves and check real facts.

It also says that McDonald's started using the same beans Starbuck's was using a year ago. The test was a blind taste test comparing plain coffee without any cream or sugar, but who drinks coffee like that? I'm sure a white mocha tastes better then plain McDonald's coffee, but way to take it out of context.

And I think the real point is regardless of how real consumer's report's results are for coffee or cellular service, millions of people read and follow their results...

Mcdonalds uses seattle's best. Seattle's best is owned by starbucks. They do use the "Same Beans" if you concider that they come form the same source however the beans allocated to seattle's best are those that didn't roast to the standards of starbucks. Not to mention Seattle's best doesn't change the blends that they offer. A lot of people drink coffee black. They tend to go to Starbucks over Mcdonalds, and for good reason.

Just another example of the Cingular fanboys grasping for anything to prove their benevolent wireless company can do no wrong. If consumer reports is so flawed why is it one of the most widely read and printed magazines. Must be millions of dupes out there incapable of forming their own conclusions.

Seriously, stop preying on every little thing that knocks Cingular service. There is a reason why the "least dropped calls" is one of the most mocked catch phrases in marketing right now. Millions of people must be wrong, especially the 125 million that make up the other big 3. They must ALL be crazy.

Shouldn't you be responding to the original post? I was just commenting on Seattle's best Vs. Starbucks... 🤨

The point remains that you will grasp for anything to show that anyone who rights something about Cingular in negatve light is either A)a liar or B) the report is old or CDEFGH some other garbage. Accept the fact that Cingular has work to do for improving their image and their call quality.

Sprint customers in general have little difficulty accepting that their customer service is terrible yet the Cingular fanboys would fight to the die to prove otherwise. Yet its documented that their customer service is among the worst in the industry.

I'd be satisfied if Cingular customers could admit the faults that their carrier has.

You're still barking up the wrong tree. I've never stated that this wasn't true. My own CC experience has been hit or miss. I personally will not "grasp at anything" to change a perspective. I do however point out if something is obviously false.

Totinos is better than Pizza Hut in my opinion. Pizza Hut is terrible. I'm not saying that Totinos is good, I'd rather eat them than PH.

That's the thing about survey's, they only represent people's opinions. I'm assuming you think Pizza Hut is good, but I'm not going to say you know nothing about pizza, it's just your opinion.

They just printed a retraction over inaccurate and falsified data used in testing baby seats.

Yet people still take thier word as gold.

Yup, the first company to make a retraction. The New York Times printed articles that were later proven to contain falsified stories and incorrect information yet people still receive and read the paper daily. Hmmm quite a quandry.

So you're saying false information is okay as long as people still read it?

That's interesting.

No i'm saying that false information isn't a reason people stop believing other stories that are put forth before them by a trusted source. One retraction doesn't equate to falsified information available anywhere else in the publication but thats a good try to twist my words.

The problem with Consumer Reports is that they take uneducated opinions on products and make recommendations based on those opinions. Its good that someone is out there pushing the "Caveot Emptore" ideal, but base your information on fact, not opinion. To many people assume they are one in the same.

If an organization is putting out false stories (even one), should it really be considered a trusted source?

By the way, I wasn't trying to twist your words. You don't have to twist words when you put it the way you did the first time.

Spare me the ideological babble. Are you a trusted source? Have you lied at least once in your life no matter how small of a little white lie? Its safe to say you have lied at least once in your life, but does that mean future people, friends, partners, family can no longer trust you?

That's an irrelevant matter. Why?

Because I'm not a large organization trying to make a profit from the information I share. It doesn't matter whether I'm sharing accurate trust-worthy information or not. Me lying once has a small effect on a small population. Consumer Reports or another company publishing misinformation affects a large population and tarnishes their purpose of existence.
