GSM systems and yelling at us for them
OK I have to start of by saying calm down people!!! Not all of us have access to the new system. this you all know. but what you don't seem to know is that there is nothing we can do about it. we just do what we are told we are just reps not miracle workers. yelling at us is only going to make us want to help you less. i am more apt to give you credit if you are nice to me. its sad really. how some of you react is insane. get over it. in the future you should follow these guidelines
1) we cant fix your reception problems...we cant build you a tower sorry
2) yelling is not going to get you anywhere
3) "supervisors" or what we call res is the same as talking to us and they have no more power they we do
3) READ YOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I suggest only one guideline: get another carrier. I did, and life is once again good!

or get a new phone. i did and my service is fine now. as a matter of fact i've gone through 6 phones in 18 months. everyone complains about the network, but it's the phone manufacturers who are producing faulty products. the network is far more reliable than the gsm phones nokia, motorola, and sony ericsson are procuding. i've called warranty several times and they joke about being nokia xchange. that should tell you something. the gsm networks are not perfect, but neither are the cdma or tdma networks.

I still wonder why people waste their time coming on these message boards to boast about theirselves changing carriers. It is as if people who prefer the carrier start weeping because of this... If that is the case, well, dougc, sorry to break it to you, but it makes me happier to see people like you leave... 😉

Well, it isn't the case. Whether I stay or leave couldn't make less difference to ATTWS or any of its subscribers. My decision was not about them. It amazes me that so many ATT subscribers seem to take their company personally, but maybe that accounts for why unlike any other carrier there is so much of a "just believe and wait and it'll get better" attituge on boards about them. My point was, why do that when you can shop around and find somewhere that already is better. In my case, better meant getting more data service without losing voice coverage such as the switch from the TDMA to GSM network would bring. If there's a waste of time, it's yelling at ATTWS CS reps for a situation they didn't create and can't fix. In my three years...
