Dealer Lines / Merger

What affect will the merger/buyout/whatever have on people who still own Dealer Lines through AWS? Will the plans automatically get cancelled or will they continue on or will the be forced to move to a consumer line or a cingular dealer line or what?

Even if a deal does happen, it will take a year or so to implement. The SunCom deal was approved over a year before the change over actually occurred. I was on that TeleCorp transition team. Went smoother than I thought it would.

My guess is that a Cingular/AWS merger/buyout will result in a consolidation of stores/dealers, for the simple fact you don't need an AWS store and a Cingular store in the same vicinity. If a dealer is left out, I'm sure they would be told that their dealer account is closing/switching before it actually happens.

Well, in this instance the dealer line belongs to someone who does not work at an AWS store, in fact, not even for AWS. This guy is a close friend of mine, he used to work with me at AWS and when we left I changed my rate plan to the $40/month local and he never changed his, but it never cancelled out...
